Animals Safety Organization Pakistan (A Mission to Save Animals)

Animals Safety Organization Pakistan in Cooperation with Shama Banaspatti Ghee and Cooking Oil took out rallies all over in Pakistan including Multan.

In Multan a peaceful rally was taken out from Kalma Chowk, which marched up to Bosan Town Hall in which the participants were carrying banners and placards demanding protection of animals, clean environment, construction of animal shelter houses and animal hospitals. A large number of people participated in the rally. The purpose of the rally was to create awareness among people about protection of animals and their rights.

Apart from this, Animal Safety Organization Pakistan also arranged a seminar and musical show in Bosan Town Hall on that day in which Naib City District Nazim Multan Syed Waji Ali Shah, Town Nazim Bosan Town Shaukat Hayat Bosan, District Wildlife Officer M Hussain Gashkori, Veterinary Dr. Rafiullah and others participated.

In the seminar, the president of Animal Safety Organization M Usman and General Secretary Azhar Hussain addressed and said that ‘The World Animal Day” was celebrated first time in Pakistan with such enthusiasm as the other International Days are celebrated. They said that it was the duty of all of us to provide clean environment to animals, save them, look after their health and provide good food because animals greatly effect human life. These animals are lambs, goats, horses, donkeys, pet dogs, cats etc and this event was arranged to create awareness about them.

They said that animal shelter houses should be made in Pakistan for homeless cats and dogs as there was great shortage of animal houses in the country. They also said that animal hospitals should be build, veterinary points should be made in all small towns and villages where the villagers can get their pets cured easily and free of cost, free medicines should be provided, government veterinary hospitals should serve free of cost so that poor people can get their animals cured, hunting of animals should be strictly prohibited as it would diminish the precious species of animals.

They said that the blood fighting of bear and dog was still going on in the deras (residences) of feudal landlords in spite of restriction by the government. They demanded that wildlife agency should check it and get it stopped. They said that the health of animals was not very good in all zoos and proper food was not being provided to them due to which the animals, which were cause of beauty of parks, were being dyeing now.

Besides this, they said, the hunting of precious animals such as blackbuck, black sheep and others should be replaced by making sell points, so that animal lover can purchase them and provide good food and environment to them, tax on the medicine of animals should be removed so that poor man whose income depends upon animals can get better treatment of their pets.

Addressing on the occasion Town Nazim Bosan Town Shaukat Hayat highly appreciated the steps taken by Animal Safety Organization and was glad that someone was there striving for the safety and rights of animals. He said that seminars and entertainment shows should be arranged all over the Pakistan to create awareness about animals.

He said that “Animal Safety Organization” should arrange such seminars and free medical camps and we would be with them to support and cooperate with them. In the end he said that Multan has taken this pride that Animal Safety Organization Pakistan has played a great role for animal safety and rights.

Lack of funds, Veterinary Hospital and Dispensaries became deserted

Due to lack of interest of district government Multan, Department of Livestock system has been disturbed altogether. From the past two years there is no purchase of veterinary medicine, due tow which 14 hospitals, a number of dispensaries and several centers have become useless. All over the district, there is not medicine of even one rupee for 18 lac animals. The government allocated 16 lac in previous year but the fund has not been issued even after several months.

When contacted District Officer Livestock Multan Dr. Habibullah Baig, he said that District Organization Multan were facing lack of funds due to which purchase of veterinary medicine had become a problem.

District Coordination Officer Multan informed about this matter several times and he had assured that up to the next month, veterinary medicines would be purchased.

M Hussain Khan Gashkori appointed District Wildlife Officer Multan

Department of Wildlife Safety Punjab has promoted Muhammad Hussain Khan Goshkori to the designation of District Wildlife Officer Multan permanently due to his better performance. He was on officiating before this.

Kot Addu to be made free of criminals: DSP Patrol Kot Addu

4 persons arrested in Kot Addu on charge of hunting partridge

Deputy Superintendent of Police Punjab Highway Patrol Kot Addu has said that Tehsil Kot Addu will be made free of criminals.

Addressing a ceremony in Muzaffargarh he said that on the information, provided by wildlife Muzaffargarh workers, the illegal hunters namely Mukhtar Hussain Arain, Javed Khan Sargani, Pervez Khan Sargani and Asmat Sargani were arrested on charge of hunting partridge and also recovered two cars and one motorbike from them.

Kot Addu police stopped fight b/w Dogs and Pigs, arrested culprits

A blood fight was about to held between dogs and pigs on the third of Eid-ul-Fitr under the supervision of ex-Governor Punjab and current warden Punjab Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar but besides the powerful politicians and personalities stress for the fight Kot Addu police did not allow the blood game to take place.

According to details Punnu Khan Gashkori had made a ground for fight between dogs and pigs in the Union Council of Kot Addu, Moza Ghari Hog, where gambling of lacs of rupees was planned. The police arrested Pannu Gashkori, the organizer of the fight.

This fight was planned to hold one day before but ‘Animal Safety Organization’ pointed out this to the authorities and therefore schedule of this blood game was changed. On the information of Animal Safety Organisation and other organsiations, S.H.O. Mahmood Kot Police Station Muhib Khan Baloch announced early in the morning that no fight will be permitted and those found in doing so will be dealt with iron hand.

But the fonder started gathering to the spot early before the time of fight and on the arrival of police all of them escape and police arrested the organizer Punnu Gashkori who was later let free on assurance in written form for not arranging any such fight next time.

It should be noted that to stop this fight many lawyers and social organizations played a vital role. The president of Young Lawyers’ Forum Mian Amir Sultan Goraha, President Malik Ayyun Mughal, Syed Shaukat Shah, M Younus Chandia, and member of Tehsil Council Khurram Ahtasham also appreciated the police raid and stopping the fight. S.H.O Muhib Khan Lashari said that this fight was illegal and he would not let anybody to do any illegal work.

Plan to lease the land of Pirowal Forest to Ameer Qatar cancelled

Prime Minister of Punjab Mr. Shahbaz Sharif has cancelled the plan of leasing the land of Pirowal Forest to Ameer Qatar and the orders are given to the relevant departments.

According to details the previous government had announced to lease the land of the forest to Ameer Qatar for 100 years but Mr. Shahbaz Sharif has now given directions to the Department of Forests to start plantation campaign on the area. According to sources the government has decided to issue funds of millions of rupees for this purpose. Before this, five thousand acre area of Pirowal Forest has been allocated to Pak-Arms. So the biggest forest of the Punjab was in trouble but CM Punjab took the right decision at right time.

Animals Safety Organization hails police raid on blood fight b/w dogs and pigs in Kot Addu

On the indication and request of Animals Safety Organization District Wildlife Officer Muhammad Hussain Gashkori and Young Laywers Forum’s President Mian Amir Sultan Goraya the Police of the Union Council of Kot Addu stopped the fight of dogs and pigs in which powerful politicians and personalities were suppose to participate and gambling of lacs of rupees was to be done and also tickets of lacs of rupees were already being sold.

Animal Safety Organization appreciated the raid of police and arrest of the organizer of the fight, Punnu Gashkori before the fight. Amir Sultan Goraya also hailed the steps and said that it was necessary to stop these blood sports for the protection of animals and the organizers of such sports should be punished strictly.

Department of Live Stock out of vaccines

More than 100 cattle killed due to shortage of vaccine

A large number of cattle including cows, buffaloes, goat, lamb, ox etc have been died for chronic diseases, as village veterinary medical centers are not doing vaccination on the changing of weather due to negligence of officers, doctors and vaccinators.

A careful estimate showed that absence of vaccination had caused deaths of more than 100 animals in the duration of one month only. It has been told that the vaccine provided by the government is of Rs. 90, which is sufficient for 60 animals, and it costs Rs. 1.50 per animal but vaccinators were receiving Rs. 50 to 100 per animal.

The affected owners of the animals had requested the correction of these problems as soon as possible.
